How we choose

GoCart Global organizes the property details and review snippets that appear in Agoda's search response. We do not estimate prices, amenities or locations that a source doesn't confirm.

What we use

• Property name, cumulative rating and total review count
• The nightly price for the specified dates and occupancy
• Distance and amenity information included in the search response
• Review snippets and traveler types included in the search response

Who qualifies

Only five-star hotels and resorts listed as a regular property on Agoda, with a confirmed nightly price of at least $250 (taxes and fees included, 2 adults, 1 room, 1 night) and at least 30 guest reviews. Private rentals, unnamed "secret deals" and listings without a confirmed price are excluded.

How we rank

Within that pool we rank by price tier first, then review volume, star rating, resort or villa character and guest rating, plus a weighting specific to each collection — villas and couple-heavy reviews for Honeymoon, review depth for Anniversary, spa and retreat character for Wellness, and the highest price tier for Ultra-Luxury. Golf lists are bases for a golf trip; we do not claim a hotel has its own course. When we publish several collections for the same destination and month, hotels already featured in one list are pushed down in the others so each guide shows a different set where inventory allows.

Structure

Collections are organized by category, then region, then destination (for example Honeymoon › Southeast Asia › Bali). Destination notes — areas, seasons and the angle for each collection — are written by our editors; hotel facts and prices come only from the source data.

Interpreting the sample

The total review count and the type-analysis sample are different numbers. Traveler-type shares are aggregated only from the snippets in the search response, not from the full review set, so a small sample is shown as directional reference only.

Prices & missing data

Prices are observations under the search conditions at the time of fetch. Taxes, member rates, currency and availability can change them. When a value is absent from the response, we do not substitute a prior value or an estimate.
